What type of test is performed?

We use the Carestart Rapid antigen test that is an on-the-spot screening test that detects proteins in the virus and delivers results within minutes.

How old must a patient be to get a Rapid COVID-19 test?

Patients must be 3 years of age or older for COVID-19 testing. All patients ages 3-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who may assist with the sample collection, if necessary.

How is the Rapid Covid-19 test done?

You will remain in the comfort of your vehicle for the entire test.  When you arrive at our facility, pull into the marked parking in front of our office.  One of our medical staff will come out to your vehicle to obtain your demographic information. You will be given a swab and asked to collect a sample of nasal secretions by inserting the swab approximately one inch into your nostril.  The swab is rotated several times and then inserted into the other nostril and repeated on the other side.

How long does the test take?

From the collection of the swab to the delivery of the results, this process will generally get results within 15 minutes.  This does not include the time it takes to obtain your demographic information. 

Will I get proof of my test?

Yes, once the test is complete, we will provide you with a letter with the results.

What forms of payment can I use for this test?

We accept cash or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express).

Will you accept my insurance?

No, we will not bill insurance for this test, but will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company.
